Requirements

To reactivate your certification, you must meet the current eligibility criteria, which may differ from those at the time of your initial certification.

• MLS Reactivation applicants must provide proof of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution. If the degree was earned outside the U.S., a course-by-course transcript evaluation is required from one of the approved evaluation services listed on our website. The evaluation must confirm that the degree is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor鈥檚 degree. List of evaluation services

Reactivation is required if you:

Certified after January 1, 2006, but:

• Failed to document the required CCP points.
• Missed the annual renewal fee by the end of your 3-year cycle.

Certified before January 1, 2006, but:

• Did not pay the annual fee for three or more years.

Audited by CCP and could not demonstrate compliance with the program.

If you prefer to reactivate your certification by retaking the exam, follow these steps:

Step 1: Submit Your Application

• Complete the Reactivation by Exam Application.
• Pay the required fee (the application is valid for 6 months).

Step 2: Take the Exam

• Once your application is processed, you'll receive detailed instructions to retake the original certification exam.

Step 3: Claim Your Certification

• Once you pass the exam, you’ll receive an email from Credly to claim your updated digital badge.
